Pixel Font Generator
Retro 8-bit lettering for game titles, streams and arcade-style designs.
A pixel font generator turns your text into blocky 8-bit lettering, like the title screens of classic arcade and console games. Type your words, choose one of 3 pixel fonts, and add neon colors, outlines and shadows. Use it for game titles, stream overlays, YouTube thumbnails and retro merch.
Pixel fonts in the generator
- Press Start 2P: the classic chunky 8-bit arcade look, based on the lettering of 1980s Namco arcade games.
- Silkscreen: small, crisp pixel capitals that stay sharp at any size.
- VT323: a tall terminal font that looks like an old green-screen computer.
How to make pixel text

- Download it with Pro for overlays, thumbnails or posters.
Tips for retro game text
Pixel fonts look best in all caps on dark backgrounds. Keep letter spacing tight, and use a hard drop shadow with no blur instead of a soft one to stay true to the 8-bit look.
